Spring Hill Baptist Church had an amazing experience in the DR! They volunteered in the feeding ministry for 83 children under age 5 and nursing mothers and prepared and presented fun and engaging VBS activities for the school aged children. The physical therapist from the team had an opportunity to assess the needs of some children, while they ate a well-balanced, nutritious and culturally sensitive meal.The team also got to visit the homes of some families with special needs to pray for them and provide physical therapy, as well as provide training to some local care providers. The team had an opportunity to participate in sponsorship day and help hand out 50 food baskets to the families of sponsored children. This team also provided a valuable sewing ministry as they taught several women how to create a curtain. The curtain represents so much more - learning to be productive, contribute, and help each other learn - all this while being loved and discipled through music and the word of God.
